From the AYHD Board
Recruitment board members
The Association for Young Historical Demographers is looking to recruit two new board members to replace members who are rotating off the board at the end of the year. We would particularly welcome expressions of interest from PhD students and early career historical demographers from Universities and regions that are not currently represented on the board. If you’re coming to the ESHD Conference in Bologna, that would be a great time to get to know what we do by coming to one of our panel sessions or catching up with us at a social event. The activities of the board are focused on writing our newsletter and maintaining our website with resources for young historical demographers as well as organising sessions and networking events at relevant conferences – we’re always open to new ideas, so tell us yours!
Website temporarily down
As some of you may have noticed, our website is temporarily down. We are working on fixing this problem and expect the website to be up again shortly. In the meantime, feel free to email one of us for any information you are looking for!

Would you like to have your work shared or do you know a recent paper that deserves to be spotlighted? Send an email to Joris (joris.kok@iisg.nl) with information on the research you would like to see shared.
This newsletter’s spotlight article is:

The Impact of Epidemic Disease Mortality on Land
